About Me
I am an assistant professor at the department of Educational Psychology and Special Education (EPSE), University of Saskatchewan, Canada, and an adjunct professor at the Faculty of Education, Chulalongkorn University, Thailand. I completed my Ph.D. in Measurement, Evaluation, and Data Science at the University of Alberta.
My research program centers on Quantitative Methodology, Methodological Integration, and Meta-Research.
My work operates across three interconnected pillars:
Applied Measurement & Methodological Integration: Leveraging a diverse toolkit, including advanced psychometrics, network analysis, natural language processing, machine learning, and qualitative/mixed methods frameworks, to translate conceptual questions into rigorous analytical designs. The intention is to bridge empirical inquiry across fields to extract robust, actionable insights from diverse data types.
Learning Analytics and Educational Data Mining: Harnessing multi-modal and digital learning trace data to extract actionable pedagogical insights by bridging psychometric measurement models and computational methods. This work focuses on developing interpretable models, adaptive feedback architectures, and diagnostic assessments that empower educators, support self-regulated learning, and optimize instructional environments without sacrificing pedagogical context.
Meta-Research, Metrics, & Scientific Integrity: Applying measurement theory, educational theory, and data science to critically examine how quantitative metrics and evaluation systems govern scientific ecosystems. This research audits academic publishing practices, citation metrics, prestige hierarchies, and gatekeeping mechanisms to advocate for responsible bibliometric metric use, transparent evaluation, and structural equity in academia.
Beyond academic research, I have worked as an operational psychometrician with the Education Quality and Accountability Office (EQAO, Ontario), served as a data consultant for UNICEF Thailand, and founded the PAGES Lab (Psychological Advocacy for Gender and Equality Studies) at Thammasat University. I am also the creator and maintainer of the R package CTTvis.
